With the UK Government announcing the UK is slowly coming out of lockdown we would like to keep all our customers updated on the current situation for services as the vast majority of our customers have reinstated to the normal services or a reduced service.
Currently, the impact on day to day operations has remained the same with all office-based staff still working from home remotely, instead of the coming into the office and we continue to operate all the bin empties/schedules as usual but with the following additional precautions and planning in place:
- Most of our providers depots still have the office based staff on furlough or working remotely from home and there are waiting times to be able to get through on the phones and emails and in some places in UK these are lengthy waiting times to be able to speak anyone for late collections and setting up services again.
- All the usual collections days may be affected as with limited trucks out on the road due to furlough your usual bin empty days maybe a little different than usual so please bear with us whilst we check on these.
- All requests for services to be reinstated may take up to 7 – 10 working days as we have to filter this information to each depot and they may have to unfurlough drivers to cover additional volume which might take a short while.
- Our providers will no longer obtain signatures via pda to reduce person to person contact. All Waste Collections will continue as usual but with limitations place in certain areas across the UK due to some routes and rounds having limited drivers on them, please email us on email@example.com if you need to reduce services temporarily. The evolving situation is being closely monitored in-house on an ongoing basis to ensure that we implement the appropriate advice and protocols. This includes amending our operations on an ongoing basis.
